My clients go through a process of self-discovery and healing via subconscious reprogramming, and I support them to find peace and fulfillment through the creation of a strong connection between mind and body.

In 2013, I experienced every parent’s worst nightmare when my oldest son Devin

unexpectedly passed away. There is nothing that can prepare a parent for that level of

pain and agony.

Through my experience, I have developed a clear understanding of how trauma affects our emotional and physical health and subsequently has allowed my to open my heart and soul to the power of helping others.

My passion for helping people has come from the in-depth understanding of how the trauma

patterns we create can influence our lives. I truly believe that you can heal from the limiting beliefs created by your trauma and you can manifest a life

Breaking Through Writer’s Block: 10 Strategies to Get Words Flowing Again

by Michelle Seguin

8 Reasons

When we say we have writer’s block, we are just telling ourselves a lie. Writer’s block is nothing more than fear creeping into our minds.

It will whisper in your ear, telling you that you are not good enough, that you don’t have anything valuable to say, or that you are wasting your time. It will convince you that you are stuck, that the words aren’t coming, that maybe you’re not even a real writer.

I have been there staring at a blank screen, hoping the words will just come. It felt like my story was locked away in a place I could not reach. But going through that, I learned that writer’s block is not real. It is only fear in disguise. And for me, fear does not get to win. Living Larger Than Life means committing to step through the fear.

So, if you are feeling stuck, doubting yourself, or ready to throw your laptop out the window, then DON’T! Take a breath and try the following 10 strategies to break through the writer’s block and get those beautiful words flowing again:

1. Write Without Expectations

One of the biggest reasons writers get blocked is because they expect perfection in the first draft. They want every sentence to be polished and every paragraph to be meaningful.

Forget that.

The first draft is supposed to be messy. It’s supposed to be raw. Let go of the pressure to perfect it and get the words out.

2. Change Your Environment

Sometimes, the problem isn’t your writing but where you are writing. If you have been sitting in the same chair, staring at the same wall, your brain might need something new.

Try writing in a new space—a coffee shop, a park, or a different room in your house. Moving can shake things up and get your creativity moving again.

3. Write as if No One Will Ever Read It

Fear of judgment is one of the biggest creativity killers.

What if people don’t like it? What if they don’t understand? What if they think I’m not good enough?

Stop.

This is your story.

Your words.

Your truth.

Write it as if no one will ever read it.

Write it just for you.

You can always edit it later, so let yourself be free.

4. Set a Timer and Write

Give yourself 10 minutes. No pressure. No overthinking. Write anything that comes to mind, even if it’s nonsense, even if it’s just “I don’t know what to write” over and over again.

What matters is that you are writing. Once you start, the words will come.

5. Get Out of Your Head—Literally

If you are overthinking, it’s time to move.

Get up.

Go for a walk.

Stretch.

Dance in your kitchen.

Do something that gets you out of your head and into your body.

Creativity doesn’t happen when you’re forcing it. It happens when you create space for it.

6. Read Something That Inspires You

Sometimes, the best way to get unstuck is to fill your mind with words that move you. Read a book that makes you feel something or a passage that reminds you why you started writing in the first place.

Let other people’s words ignite your own.

7. Talk It Out

If you’re stuck, try talking through your story with someone—a friend, a mentor, or even just recording yourself speaking out loud. Sometimes, speaking your ideas can unlock something that writing alone couldn’t.

8. Write a Letter to Your Fear

If fear is keeping you stuck, call it out.

Write a letter to your doubt, your inner critic, that voice telling you you’re not good enough.

And then?

Write back.

Tell that fear exactly why it’s wrong. You are good enough, your story does matter, and you’re not letting fear win today.

9. Write Something Completely Different

If your current project seems impossible, step away for a moment and write something completely unrelated—a journal entry, a poem, or a list of things you love.

Sometimes, shifting your focus releases creativity and makes it easier to return to your book with fresh eyes.

10. Remember Why You Started

Writing isn’t always easy, but you didn’t start this journey because it was easy.

You started because you have a story to tell and something inside you that needs to be shared with the world.

Hold onto that.

Let it be bigger than the fear, bigger than the doubt, bigger than the block because your words matter. The world is waiting for them.

In conclusion, writer’s block is just a test from the universe.

A challenge asking you: How much do you want this?

And I already know the answer.

So stop waiting for the perfect words.

Stop second-guessing yourself.

Just sit down and write.

And if you need help bringing your book to life, I’m here because your story is meant to be told.

And it’s meant to be Larger Than Life.
